Who Has Your Eyes?

Children often rely on affirmations from their close ones as they navigate their developmental years. Affirmations are important in building self-confidence, instilling a sense of worthiness, and shaping overall identity. Receiving positive feedback and encouragement from parents, caregivers, and teachers boosts their self-esteem and provides a foundation for healthy emotional and psychological development. However, as children grow and navigate life, they need to discover their own perception of themselves that goes beyond external validation. While affirmations from others can be weighty and influential, they should not solely determine a child's sense of self-worth.

Encouraging children to develop a healthy self-perception enables them to rely on their own judgment, values, and beliefs, even when external affirmation is no longer readily available. To trust in your ability to see yourself despite external circumstances, criticism, and praise is a journey worth embarking on.

Who Has Your Eyes? was created to encourage children to see themselves through their own eyes. The main character, Imani, is seen by others but does she see herself? Experience Imani's journey of finding her own set of eyes, the pair that truly matters.
